U.S. Senate bill would allow other ports to mimic L.A.’s Clean Trucks Program

The U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in September tossed out the Port of Los Angeles’ mandate, which would have forced freight haulers to hire their drivers as employees. The neighboring Port of Long Beach enacted a version of the Clean Trucks Program that did not include the employee mandate.
