Maersk joins WTO trade alliance

Maersk has joined the Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation, which was launched by the World Trade Organisation earlier this year as a public-private partnership to support the implementation of the Trade Facilitation Agreement.

The alliance also includes the International Chamber of Commerce, the World Economic Forum as well as companies such as DHL and Wal-Mart.



Hapag-Lloyd names new board chairman

Rolf Habben-Jansen will replace Michael Behrendt as the new chairman of Hapag-Lloyd’s executive board, as of July 2014, after Behrendt leaves his position of more than 12 years on 30 June.
