Cargo volumes at Port of Los Angeles fell off during the month of July, and exports registered a significant decline.

For the first seven months of this year, total cargo volumes at Port of Los Angeles are 3.5 less than what was recorded during the same period last year.

Port of Los Angeles spokesman Phillip Sanfield said the statistics likely reflect both an unsurprising drop-off from high levels of activity recorded in 2014, as well as some vessels that had once called on Los Angeles terminals delivering cargo to Long Beach.
