Information meetings where held from 8 to 10 am and had a massive turnout. The activity stopped in all the ports except for the minimum services.

Monday morning all Spanish ports held information meetings where union officers explained to their fellow dockworkers the inflexible position adopted by Anesco, in the various meetings that took place during the month of May, for the negotiations of the 4th Framework Agreement.

At these meetings union officers collected the opinions and proposals from the assemblies. These proposals will be discussed next week at the Coordinadora Congress, which will be taking place on 12 – 13 June in Bilbao.

At this meeting, where other port worker unions will also be taking part, delegates will be deciding on the next steps and measures to be taken in order to achieve a Framework Agreement that keeps the spirit of consensus that has prevailed in sector agreements in recent years and that has made Spanish ports a major economic engine for the country.
