The International Container Terminal Services Inc.(ICTSI) said that the Philippine Ports Authority approved the port operator’s petition for a 15 percent increase in cargo handling tariff last June 11.

ICTSI said in a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange that the tariff increase, which will come in two tranches, will take effect 30 days following the publication of the notice of increase on June 16.

According to ICTSI, tariffs on international containerized and non-containerized cargoes passing through the South Harbor and the Manila International Container Terminal will be adjusted according to the memorandum issued.
