Princess to base cruise ship in San Francisco year-round

The Grand Princess will move to San Francisco in May 2013.

Princess Cruises plans to base a cruise ship year-round in San Francisco — a first for the line.

The California-based cruise operator said the 2,600-passenger Grand Princess would move to the city in May 2013 to sail a mix of voyages to Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico and the California coast.
