Jackson tells wharfies: ‘Bust your placards over scabs’

Former unionist and MP Willie Jackson has urged striking Auckland wharfies to “bust their placards over scabs” to achieve their demands.

Maritime Union members stepped up their strike action by stopping colleagues entering the port and delaying the arrival of two ships.

Ports of Auckland chairman Richard Pearson said the company will not be changing its position.
