The Seattle City Council has jumped into the fray over truck safety at the Port of Seattle.

All nine city council members signed a letter addressed to the Port of Seattle Commission President and the Port of Seattle CEO.

The letter is titled “Concerns Related to Freight Traffic Safety on Seattle Streets.” It asks the Port Commission to take a lead role in ensuring that the trucks that serve the port are safe on the city’s streets.
