A ship from the Danish shipping company “Maersk Line” arrived last Saturday at the main pier of Bolívar Port, to start shipping operations of banana tree containers destined to the United States and some European countries.
“The transportation costs by land of a container to Machala to Guayaquil is above US$300, but now they only have to move it to the pier in Bolívar Port and that has a cost under US$100”, said a port representative.
