El Salvador president signs law to facilitate port concessions

El Salvador’s President Mauricio Funes has approved a law allowing the concession of the country’s La Unión port.

The legislative assembly greenlighted the concession bill in September this year. The law regulates schedules, investments, and stipulates requirements for the concession, capping the contract at 30 years.
