Negotiators with the International Longshore and Warehouse Union and Pacific Northwest Grain Elevator Operators have signed off on the deal, which must still approved by the union’s 4,000 members, ILWU officials said.

“This collective bargaining agreement between the union and the grain industry shows that there’s a positive relationship that meets the needs of both the workers and the employers. This productive relationship between the union and the employer maintains stability in the industry,” Leal Sundet, the ILWU’s coast committeeman, said in a written statement.
