The Salvadoran government has announced the conditions to be fulfilled by companies who operate, under the form of concessions, at the new port.

Having a minimum capital of $50 million and experience in cargo handling of at least 800 000 TEUs are two conditions that companies who choose to participate in the tender for the concession of the port must comply with.

The members of the Autonomous Executive Port Commission (CEPA) indicated that their aim with these requirements is to find a company that has the financial capacity to tackle a project of this nature.
