The Port of Coos Bay has picked ARG Trans of Arizona to run the Coos Bay Rail Link, port commissioners announced Thursday night.
In response to a request from an unnamed wood products firm, they declared an emergency, letting them drop competitive bidding requirements on some work to open part of the rail line by the end of June.
And they terminated an agreement with Weyerhaeuser that gave them an option to buy the Jordan Cove site on the North Spit, replacing it with an agreement with Jordan Cove itself.
