Long Beach attorney Mario Cordero has not submitted his resignation from the city’s Harbor Commission yet, but Mayor Bob Foster already is considering possibilities for Cordero’s replacement.

Cordero was confirmed earlier this month as the newest member of the Federal Maritime Commission. He said last week that he expects to resign effective June 1 in order to move to Washington, D.C., and allow Foster to find someone to complete his Harbor Commission term.
