The Coos Bay Rail Link, owned by the Oregon International Port of Coos Bay, is tentatively scheduled to begin partial service in June, provided the port and Reedsport manufacturer, American Bridge, enter into a contract by then, said port spokeswoman Elise Hamner.

The rail line’s rehabilitation is making progress, she said, and full service could begin in September.

Congressman Peter DeFazio secured $2.5 million in federal funding last week with which the port will buy new ties.
