An article titled “Maersk Wins Contract For $1.1 Billion Pier at Top Peru Port” includes the following information about Callao’s recently announced port concession deal with APM Terminals:
The concession [of Callao’s North Dock to APM Terminals] was awarded as opposition presidential candidate Ollanta Humala widened his lead in a poll released today. Humala said in a March 23 interview that he opposed the pier concession.
