Two months after a Valentine’s Day accident damaged one of two new $9 million cranes at APM Terminals Virginia in Portsmouth, the cranes sit idle as lawyers and engineers sort through the aftermath.
The mishap has delayed the date when the Virginia Port Authority would begin making full lease payments on APM’s facility. The Port Authority inked a 20-year deal with APM Terminals in July.
