Louis Dreyfus takes over at Port of Baton Rouge

Commissioners with the Port of Greater Baton Rouge voted unanimously Thursday to award a multi-million dollar contract to Louis Dreyfus Commodities to run the grain elevator at the port.

The company will bring a $100 million investment over the next 20 years. Louis Dreyfus will replace Cargill, a company that has operated the elevator for 55 years.
