The Jacksonville Port Authority board voted Wednesday morning to restart its effort to build a $300 million terminal for Hanjin Shipping Co. Ltd.

The decision came a year after the authority halted the process after the South Korean shipping company failed to agree on a labor agreement with the longshoremen’s union. Authority Chairman David Kulik said the authority staff will begin negotiating a contract with Halcrow, an international engineering firm, to design the terminal at Dames Point.
