Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa on Wednesday named his former chief of staff, Robin Kramer, as his newest appointee to the Board of Harbor Commissioners.
The five-member volunteer harbor panel oversees the Port of Los Angeles and is chaired by Cindy Miscikowski, a former member of the City Council. The commission is supervising efforts to reduce air pollution, particularly diesel truck emissions, and rebuild cargo volumes in the wake of the global economic downturn.
