Victor Mow named to Stockton Port Commission

It’s been more than a year since Victor Mow termed out of elected office, but a vote Tuesday by the county Board of Supervisors put him onto the Port Commission and back into public life. Mow was first elected to the Board of Supervisors in 2000. Before that, he served on the Stockton City Council, where he was first elected in 1994. Stockton appoints four of the seven port commissioners. The county appoints the other three. On Tuesday, the county Board of Supervisors voted 4-1 to make Mow a commissioner. Supervisor Larry Ruhstaller dissented. Also in the running were Mark Stebbins and Robert “Bob” Kavanaugh.
