Buffeted by the adverse global economic environment, Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (“K” Line) again suffered losses in the third quarter of consolidated fiscal year 2009. The company said consolidated operating revenues for Third Quarter of FY2009 accounted for Yen 212.503 billion, a decrese of Yen 105.554 billion compared with the same peiod of the previous year. Consolidated operating income was a loss of Yen 10.362 billion, a decrease of Yen 25.301 billion from the same period last year, and ordinary income was a loss of Yen 14.632 billion, a decrease of Yen 21.273 billion against the same period a year earlier.
