Pier 70 financing bill dies in Sacramento

A bill that would have allowed the Port of San Francisco to raise funds for environmental cleanup efforts and other projects at [Pier 70's] 65-acre site through the creation of an infrastructure financing district passed both houses of the state legislature unanimously but it was among the slew of bills recently vetoed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
